Upper Chetco Charter School is a free public charter school within the Brookings-Harbor 17C school district. We are now enrolling students in grades 2nd through 6th. Transportation is provided from Kalmiopsis Elementary to and from the charter school daily. Small class sizes (1:20 ratio) with teachers and volunteers who promote the spirit of individualized learning allow every student to perform and learn in a way that best suits their learning needs.

Our vision for Upper Chetco is that children and youth will experience the joy of learning in a serene environment that reflects the deep connection between human beings and the earth. We believe that all students can succeed, although perhaps not on the same day or in the same way. Children and adults collaborate to develop creativity, compassion, and competencies that will serve them in their roles as global citizens.

At Upper Chetco Charter we utilize individualized education plans for every student. The learning team; student, parents, educators, work together to develop a plan that best suits the needs of the individual child. Our goal is to develop true lifelong learners.
