Upper Chetco Charter School is located in a peaceful valley just five miles up the Chetco River from the bustling community of Brookings-Harbor, Oregon. Many children seem to learn better when they are away from the crowds and in a safe, intimate place where they can better sort out their thoughts.

Upper Chetco Charter School is dedicated to fulfilling its purpose as a serene, reflective, and loving community that honors the spirit of every learner through the use of brain-compatible teaching/learning. Brain-compatible teaching taps into the multiple intelligences and allows all children to learn in the style that best suits their needs.

Upper Chetco Charter School is a FREE public charter school - funding is provided through state school funds, donations and fundraising efforts. Transportation is provided free of charge from Kalmiopsis Elementary School to Upper Chetco and back each day.
